Collectie: AOC SAINT-ESTEPHE

The AOC Saint-Estèphe, located on the left bank of Bordeaux, is attached to the Médoc. Its vineyard extends over 1,230 ha of gravelly alluviums resting on limestone or oyster marl. It produces 59,000 hl/year of red wines from the red grape varieties traditionally used in the Bordeaux region.

The appellation has five classified growths in the 1855 classification. The geological and climatic variety of this AOC gives each wine a unique character. Chateau Montrose and Cos d'Estournel, for example, are both second growths, and have contrasting terroirs. Cos d'Estournel is located on one of the highest hills of the Medoc, while Montrose is very close to the Gironde. Each of these wines reflects its terroir.

Despite these contrasts, Saint-Estèphe produces typical wines every year. They are characterized by their robust and solid sides. The palate is harmonious, powerful and fine, to give a finish full of distinction and freshness. With age, the mouth of Saint-Estèphe becomes rounder.
