Château Haut-Marbuzet is a cru bourgeois produced in the Saint-Estèphe appellation. Covering an area of 66 hectares, the vineyard benefits from a grape variety of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The vines that constitute it, aged 30 years on average, are planted on a hillock of Günzian gravel and a clay-limestone subsoil. Château Haut-Marbuzet is aged in new oak barrels. At the tasting, Château Haut-Marbuzet 2016 releases aromas of red fruits mixed with kirsch notes and crème de cassis. In the mouth, we can notice a crunchy acidity, with tasty fruity (blackberries), empyreumatic (tobacco) and peppery touches. This balanced Saint-Estèphe, fine and powerful at the same time, can be consumed until 2026-2031.
