Collectie: AOC MOULIS

The Moulis-en-Médoc appellation is located on a narrow strip of 8 km long, which represents a vineyard of 610 ha. The appellation owes its name to the numerous mills that existed in the commune and produces about 30,000 hl/year of red wine.

Moulis is located west of Margaux, inland. The appellation does not benefit directly from the influence of the river, its vineyards are more sensitive to the weather. This being said, the AOC evolves on high quality clay-limestone soils composed of Garonne and Pyrenean gravel. A few châteaux make the reputation of Moulis with about forty famous vintages. The famous Château Chasse-Spleen, Château Maucaillou or Château Poujeaux know how to make the appellation shine.

The palate of Moulis wines expresses the complex aromatic expression of their bouquet: fresh red fruits, cooked fruits, vanilla, cinnamon, licorice, violet, spices, roasted coffee and undergrowth. The wine is very well structured and supported by velvety and tasty tannins which ensure a quality ageing.
