The estate
On the right bank of Bordeaux where most properties hardly exceed 10 hectares, the Château Troplong Mondot is one of the largest estates in Saint-Émilion. Founded in 1700, this Premier Grand Cru Classé gravitates at the top of the Saint-Émilion appellation.
The vineyard
A reference among the great wines of Saint-Émilion, Château Troplong Mondot oversees a single 43-hectare vineyard, peaking at 110 meters in altitude. The vineyard is entirely conducted in reasoned viticulture. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are grown on typical clay-limestone soils of the appellation.
The vintage
Despite a year marked by unstable weather conditions, the 2021 vintage reveals the full singularity and excellence of the estate’s terroirs.
Vinification and Aging
2021 is the first vintage vinified in the estate’s new wineries. The result of four years of work, this state-of-the-art facility ensures a high level of precision and excellence.
The blend
This Château Troplong Mondot 2021 is crafted from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc.
Tasting
Vibrant and radiant, the 2021 vintage captivates with its aromatic purity, density, precision, and subtle minerality.
