The property :
The current owner of Château Laroze, the Meslin family is a direct descendant of the founders of the Laroze estate in 1882. This secular filiation has allowed Château Laroze to build a unique wine identity in the heart of Saint-Émilion.
The vintage :
After a mild autumn and a cool start to the winter, temperatures rose and led to an early budburst. The cool, wet spring was overtaken by a hot, dry summer, which heralded a rapid, uniform veraison. The difference in temperature between day and night favors the aromatic quality of the grapes which reach perfect maturity for the harvest.
Maturation :
Aged in new French oak barrels (65%). Aged in jars (8%).
Blending :
Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (30%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%).
