The property
Located on the edge of Pomerol and in the western part of the Saint-Émilion appellation, Château La Dominique is one of the most prestigious properties on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. Audacity, precision and generosity are the key words that guide this Grand Cru Classé in the elaboration of its wines.
The vineyard
Château La Dominique's 25-hectare vineyard, which has always been managed using sustainable agriculture, benefits from an exceptional terroir combining clay-gravel, clay-limestone and sandy soils on clay. The vines are 30 years old on average.
Vinification and maturation
Manual harvest in crates. Vinification in thermoregulated truncated cone-shaped vats. The wine is aged for 14 months (50% in new barrels, 40% in one-wine barrels and 10% in polymeric egg, amphora and wine globe).
Blending
Château La Dominique 2020 is a blend of Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (3%).
