Description
The Balance and Freshness of a Margaux Grand Cru Classé
The Estate
Located on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, Château Giscours is a historic estate in the Margaux appellation, with vines first planted in the 16th century. This magnificent Third Classified Growth is a true emblem of the Bordeaux region, featuring distinctive neoclassical palace-style architecture, a park with rare tree species, and buildings including the beautiful "Ferme Suzanne". Since 1995, Château Giscours has entered a new era in its history following its acquisition by the Albada Jelgersma family.
The Vineyard
Château Giscours 2021 is a Margaux wine produced from a 95-hectare vineyard (out of a total 300 hectares). A true gem, the estate’s terroir is distinguished by the presence of three deep Garonne gravel ridges, which play a decisive role in the grape ripening cycle.
