A large gravel terroir rich in flint, quartz and bark, the Pessac-Léognan appellation extends over 20 km south of the city of Bordeaux and is home to some of the most beautiful areas of the Graves, such as Château Brown. Its vineyard has experienced the same climatic hazards as the rest of Bordeaux, namely a wet and mild spring, and an almost scorching summer. But the rains at the end of September revitalized the vines and produced magnificent Cabernet Sauvignon grapes! This vigorous variety with small berries rich in tannins, reached optimal maturity thanks to the record sunshine of summer 2016, which gives it a rare elegance. CHÂTEAU BROWN 2016 RED: BALANCED AND VERY ELEGANT It is in a dark and bluish color that the 2016 vintage of Château Brown appears. The nose of candied black fruits is captivating, exhaling notes of plums, cherries and sweet spices. On the palate, the 2016 Château Brown reveals silky and precise tannins, carrying a supple and particularly velvety material. The finish is balanced, smooth and light.
