4th classified growth in 1855, Château Branaire Ducru is a red wine produced in the Saint-Julien appellation. The 59-hectare vineyard benefits from vines that are 35 years old on average, planted on gravel ridges (gravel, pebbles). The wine is aged in barrels for an average of 16 to 20 months, with a proportion of 60 to 65% new wood. The 2016 vintage blend is 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc.
